One of the reasons why Lions clubs, rotary clubs and trading associations exist for you is that you can mix with fellow traders or office managers. You have a chance to network during meeting breaks and toward the end of each meeting. This is where you can trade cards with other members or spread ideas to get more customers respectfully. 1. Take stock of the ethnics in your town or area.

2. What occasions do they celebrate?

3. Position your business on the occasions that are celebrated.

4. Identify what your business can offer relevant to the occasion that is being celebrated. This could be difficult for some businesses. If you are a realtor you might be inclined to ask how could this work for my business? But with a little thought on the “drawing board,” an idea will flash in your mind.

5. You then mock up a little part of your business for the occasion concerned.

Christmas is celebrated everywhere. We have other occasions like Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Saint Patrick’s and Halloween. We supply promotional posters for all these occasions. Some are Muslim so we can have a theme for Eid. Many Christian folk will toss their nose up at Halloween and look the other way. If you are in a Jewish area like the San Fernando Valley in California, I think I have the location correct we don’t have Yom Kippur or Hanukkah promotional posters for the bar or retail trades but if we get enough requests we have the artists on hand.
